
Synopsis
The Hastleons’ 2018 production of “The Wizard of Oz” at the White Rock Theatre enchanted audiences with its magical retelling of the classic MGM musical. The story follows Dorothy, a young girl from Kansas, who is swept away by a tornado to the fantastical land of Oz. Determined to find her way home, Dorothy embarks on a journey to meet the mighty Wizard of Oz.
Along the way, she is joined by three unforgettable companions: the Scarecrow, who longs for a brain; the Tinman, who desires a heart; and the Cowardly Lion, who seeks courage. Together, they face challenges and adventures as they travel the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City.
The musical features beloved songs such as “Over the Rainbow,” “If I Only Had a Brain,” and “We’re Off to See the Wizard,” bringing joy and nostalgia to the audience.
